About

Wandering the World, One Story at a Time

Hi, I’m Éliane.

Rather than rushing through a checklist, I prefer to experience the world through the senses. I do not travel just to wander through shops without direction; I am drawn to places with stories, cultural experiences that carry the texture of everyday life, and old buildings where the echoes of history still seem to linger.

I come from Taiwan. I once traveled alone with a single suitcase to spend a year as an exchange student in Rouen, France. I also joined an international volunteer project in Celanova, Spain, where we created promotional videos for the town alongside people from different countries. Those days taught me that travel is not only about reaching a destination; it is about hearing your own inner voice more clearly in the alleys, light, and everyday rhythm of a foreign place. Later, I traveled around Europe twice, returning to this continent of art, history, and soul with new eyes each time.

Throughout my wandering life, language has always been one of my favorite bridges to the world. I am currently learning French, Japanese, Spanish, and Korean. To me, learning someone’s language is like receiving a key to the heart of their local culture.

This is why I created The Wandering Sonance: to share, through sound, words, and visual atmosphere, the faraway places I still dream of reaching, the magical moments I have personally unlocked along the way, and the Taiwan I know and cherish with people who are willing to come closer to it.

Here, you will find more than travel guides. You will also find my love for a freer way of living, and my quiet hope that we may meet somewhere in the world.
